The prevention of parasitic diseases is especially important for protecting the health of the population up to the age of 18. The main preventive examinations: complete blood and stool tests; perianal tape test; serological parasitological tests; liver function panel (at least once a year).
Why a liver examination is important: The liver function panel is performed to detect damage, fibrosis, cirrhosis and hepatitis. ALT and AST values above normal indicate the degree of damage. Cases where elevation is observed: fatty liver, viral hepatitis, uncontrolled medication use, alcohol consumption, heart failure, diabetes. It is recommended to check your liver condition at least once a year.
